Palliative Care and Homelessness

Palliative Care and Homelessness

Thursday, February 19, 2026 - 3:00:00 PM until
A free webinar exploring the importance of integrating palliative care within the homelessness sector.

Palliative care is about improving the quality of life for people with serious illness, focusing on relief from pain and other distressing symptoms, alongside emotional and practical support. For people experiencing homelessness, palliative care needs are often more complex, with advanced illness, multiple long-term conditions and significant barriers to accessing healthcare.

This webinar will:

  • Explore the importance of integrating palliative care within the homelessness sector
  • Highlight how frontline services can play a vital role in supporting people to receive compassionate, coordinated care
  • Inform you about a Community of Practice programme focussed on palliative and end of life care starting in March 2026 across 10 locations around England that you can get involved in
  • Bring together a range of speakers, including palliative care specialists, a GP delivering primary care to people experiencing homelessness, and a homelessness service sharing their experience of providing palliative care within a hostel.

The webinar is aimed at frontline staff and managers working in homelessness services, and will also be relevant for commissioners. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.

You can watch the Frotnline Network's recent webinar Bereavement on the Frontline which discusses the experiences of bereavement for frontline staff.
