Supporting People Leaving Prison

Thursday, March 5, 2026 - 9:00:00 AM until

The Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde Frontline Network would like to invite local frontline workers to join us for a morning's workshop where we will explore the barriers faced by individuals leaving prison and how we as frontline services can best support them.

The training will be facilitated by Victoria Evans from the Probation Service and Nikki Plumb from the lived experience team.

Items that will be covered include:

  • Statutory obligations and duties of the probation service
  • Expectations of the individual upon release
  • Barriers faced upon release, both practical and from a person centred perspective
  • How to best support a reintegration into the outside world
  • Useful contacts and pathways for support

This will also be a great opportunity to network with other local partners from across the Fylde Coast and make those all important connections.

As spaces are limited please book a max of 2 per organisation.

You can register for the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Frontline Network enews here.
