England's Homelessness Day Services: Report Launch Webinar

Wednesday, July 15, 2026 - 2:00:00 PM until

Day services are often the first place people turn when experiencing or at risk of homelessness. They provide practical help, trusted relationships, community, and a vital safety net for people who too often fall through the gaps in statutory support.

Yet despite their impact, day services remain under-recognised, under-funded, and under-celebrated.

Housing Justices's new research shines a light on the scale, value and complexity of homelessness day services, highlighting their role as community hubs, their preventative impact, the partnerships they build, and the enormous contribution they make in the face of significant financial and operational pressures.

The webinar will feature findings from researcher Becky Rice, reflections from Housing Justice's Faith and Community Development Team, and a case study bringing the research to life from Tasmin Maitland, CEO of Catching Lives. There will also be opportunities for questions, discussion and shared learning.

Whether you run a day service, work in homelessness, commission services, or are interested in community responses to homelessness, this is an opportunity to explore what makes these services so important and why they deserve greater recognition and investment.
