Tuesday, December 10, 2024 - 10:00:00 AM until

Are you a frontline worker who support people at risk of or experiencing homelessness? Do you want to learn more about drug trends in Scotland and helpful harm reduction advice for the people you support? And are you interested to learn more about cocaine injection, synthetic opioids and street benzos? Then join us for this in-person training session delivered by Crew, a harm reduction and sexual health organisation in Edinburgh.

This half-day training session will give you an update on general drug trends in Scotland and how to advice people you support. We’ll be focusing specifically on cocaine trends, including crack cocaine and injection, synthetic opioids and street benzos. At the end of the session you will be able to:

  1. Identify emerging drug trends in Scotland
  2. Identify and group drugs by their effect on the mind and the body
  3. Have an overview of drug-related deaths
  4. Identify appropriate harm reduction responses

The session will include hands-on advice that you can use in your daily work with clients. It will be an interactive session, with a range of activities and plenty of time for questions and discussions.

Sign up today for an opportunity to learn and connect with other frontline workers!

NB: The event will take place in-person in Edinburgh. You will receive more information closer to the date.

This event is hosted by the Scottish Frontline Network. The Scottish Frontline Network is facilitated by Cyrenians who are a partner of St Martin's Frontline Network.
