**PLEASE NOTE: THE CURRENT EMERGENCY GRANT APPLICATION (VRF) PORTAL IS NOW CLOSED**
We are changing to a new application portal to improve our processes and efficiency, and to make applying easier.
- You can no longer make new applications, amend any existing applications or submit evidence of spend via this portal.
- Any grants that are still awaiting / requiring information from you and not resubmitted as of now, will be declined.
- If you have completed a new user registration on the old system, you will not be asked to do this again. You will just be required to update your profile with key information the first time you log in to the new portal.
The new portal will open Monday 11 May 2026, 9:00
- We’ll send an email nearer the time, with instructions of where and how to log into the new system.
- A link to the new portal will be included on this page once it has opened.
For some FAQs about the new system, please follow this link. If you still have any questions not answered in the FAQs, please email us: vrf@stmartinscharity.org.uk
What we fund
We consider funding of up to £650 (as of 1st April 2026) to support access to accommodation including:
- Government regulated deposit schemes
- Rent in advance
- ID fees
- Emergency accommodation costs
- Removal costs for relocation of furniture / belongings
Please note:
- We do not accept applications from members of the public or volunteers; The applicant must be a paid frontline worker from a registered organisation providing support to the individual.
- We cannot accept applications where the applicants’ organisation will become the client’s new landlord. We do however accept applications from organisations who are currently the client’s landlord and are supporting them to move to accommodation with a different provider.
- Grants will only be paid to the organisation who employs the frontline worker. We cannot make payments directly to landlords or other service providers.
- We are unable to consider applications where the client already has access to their new accommodation.
Please see FAQs for more detailed information.
