The Coventry Frontline Network is pleased to offer funded training delivered by Homeless Link, on Strengths-based practice for frontline staff.

The in-person training will take place at St Clair Gardens, Livingstone Road, Coventry, CV6 5AR.

Strengths-Based Practice highlight the positive qualities of individuals, organisations, and communities, focusing on strengths and goals rather than solely addressing problems.

This training empowers delegates to integrate strengths-based values and principles into their work, recognising and building on the strengths of the people they work with. Delegates will develop actionable strategies to develop existing processes with a strengths-based approach. The session also addresses common misconceptions about the approach, providing tools to challenge and overcome them.

Who is this course for?

For all frontline staff who are looking to integrate strengths-based values and principles into their work.

What will you learn?

Through this course, your team will:

  • Understand what Strengths-based practice is
  • Be able to recognise deficit-based practice
  • Be able to identify strengths of the people you work with
  • Understand how to implement elements of Strengths-based practice in your service
  • Understand how strengths-based approaches interact with other practices and processes

As this training is funded by the Coventry Frontline Network, preference will be given to agencies working in Coventry and the Midlands. Places may be limited to 1 per organisation to ensure a range of agencies can access this training. Please try and coordinate this within your agency if possible; if you aren't able to do this, we may need to contact you after booking to discuss the allocation of places.
