Autism and Homelessness: Community of Practice

Wednesday, July 17, 2024

Following the recently updated Autism and Homelessness Toolkit, Homeless Link will be hosting a one-off Community of Practice session for frontline workers and managers working in homelessness services. This interactive session will involve using the toolkit to respond to case scenarios, thinking about how we can recognise autism, and adapt our practice when supporting autistic individuals experiencing homelessness.

An evaluation of the use of the new toolkit is being carried out by Tamara Ondruskova, Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Oxford. As part of this evaluation she will invite you to fill out a brief survey about autism and homelessness shortly before the workshop, and more details will be sent closer to the time. Taking part in this project is entirely optional and you do not need to do this to attend the workshop.
