About

We are almost 10 months into the COVID-19 vaccination programme with over 80% of the general population having had both doses but how are we doing in the homelessness sector? 

Evidence suggests whilst there has been considerable success in increasing take up there remains greater rates of hesitancy amongst people experiencing homelessness.

In this webinar we will hear from Groundswell and St Mungo's on the challenges of continuing to increase vaccine take-up rates amongst people experiencing homelessness and sharing insights on, and suitable responses to, vaccine hesitancy.

Aims

  • Share what data and intelligence is known/available about vaccine take up amongst people experiencing homelessness and how this differs to the general population.  
  • Explore and raise awareness of the reasons why the rates are lower and specifically what vaccine hesitancy is and the reasons for hesitancy.  
  • To share good practice on what is being done to respond to engage with service users about their hesitancy feelings and views and respond and where appropriate support and encourage vaccination.   

Who can join?

This will be for all those involved in delivering homelessness services who want to consider ways to engage service users about, and respond to, vaccine hesitancy.
