No Recourse to Public Funds and Homelessness FLN Meeting (rescheduled)

Tuesday, October 11, 2022

Leeds Women's Homelessness and Housing Frontline Network are hosting their next event, discussing what is meant by NRPF, who it affects, identifying and overcoming the barriers to recourse and interim support.

In our previous partner meetings, you said you’d appreciate more training on supporting people with No Recourse to Public Funds. We have been lucky enough to secure some in-depth specialised training from Bethan at Praxis, another Frontline Network partner! We hope you can join us.

No Recourse to Public Funds conditions are a major cause of homelessness. In this training you will learn what exactly is meant by NRPF, who it affects, and receive advice on identifying and overcoming the barriers to recourse and interim support for those with NRPF.

This training will be delivered by Praxis, an organisation working with migrants for almost 40 years. Praxis has particular expertise in migrant homelessness and NRPF.

The training will be tailored to focus on the experiences of women and families who are in receipt of No Recourse to Public Funds conditions.

The Leeds Women’s Homelessness and Housing Frontline Network meetings are open to any professional in Leeds who may work with women experiencing homelessness. You do not need to have attended an event before – just sign up for a free ticket here.

This meeting was scheduled for the 20th of September but had to be cancelled, we hope you can make it on the 11th of October.
