Frontline Network Wales: North Wales meet-up
Frontline Network Wales: North Wales meet-up
About this event
The Frontline Network Wales regional meet-ups are back! In this round of meet-ups, we will be talking about issues affecting the sector’s workforce, including pay, recognition, recruitment and retention, training, qualifications, psychological support and much more.
The Welsh Government has established a task and finish group to develop a workforce training, development and recognition framework for the homelessness and housing support sector - and our Frontline Network Wales meet-ups will feed directly into those discussions. This is your opportunity to shape the Welsh Government’s plans from the very beginning, so please come along and make your voices heard!
This event is open to frontline homelessness and housing support staff* working in third sector organisations, housing associations and local authorities in Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Wrexham and Ynys Môn.
These meetings are specifically for frontline staff, not managers. We want to create a space for frontline staff to be able to speak openly and honestly about their views and experiences - and we ask that managers respect this and do not attend.
These discussions will be informal chats over Microsoft Teams with other frontline workers and staff from Cymorth Cymru. All conversations will be confidential and we aim to create an open and welcoming environment.
*How do we define a 'frontline worker'?
The Frontline Network defines ‘frontline worker’ as a paid worker, who directly supports people who are experiencing homelessness. This includes those working in the Voluntary, Statutory, and Public sectors. Frontline Workers responding to this survey work in roles including outreach, housing, social work, and probation.
