New ways of working: opportunities to reshape homeless services in London
New ways of working: opportunities to reshape homeless services in London
About this event
Homes for Cathy and One Housing would like to invite you to our FREE roundtable discussion on the theme of Opportunities to reshape homeless services in London that will take place at Arlington Conference Centre on Thursday 25 November.
Thursday 25 November, 16–17:30 Arlington Conference Centre, 220 Arlington Road, London NW1 7HE
This roundtable event is an opportunity for professionals from housing associations, local authorities and the third sector working across the London region to have an informed discussion around:
- Innovative approaches and best practice for tackling homelessness
- Positive lessons learnt during the covid-19 pandemic
- Current challenges faced by services in London
- Opportunities to create long term lasting change in the sector.
The number of people who were seen sleeping rough in London between April 2020 and March 2021 has risen to 11,018, the highest ever and almost double the figure recorded ten years ago.
As we move on to a new phase of adapting to the pandemic, with a reduction and withdrawal of some emergency measures, it is a crucial moment to think about what more we can do – starting from the Government – to tackle this crisis and prevent a surge in the number of people going back to the street.
Housing associations have a social responsibility to tackle homelessness. We need to build on our work with partners across local government, national government and civil society to ensure that no one is without a home.
This FREE event will give you the chance to gain valuable insight into the challenges faced by other services in London, share positive outcomes with colleagues, and join a debate that can inform new approaches to tackling the homelessness crisis.
