2nd International Arts and Homelessness Summit

In partnership with Coventry City of Culture and a co-produced steering group made up of people who are or have been homeless and the Coventry homelessness community, Arts & Homelessness International are delighted to announce the 2nd International Arts and Homelessness Summit.
Due to COVID travel restrictions, our 2nd Summit will be blended face-to-face in Coventry and on Zoom.
Highlights of the Programme include:
Day One – Monday 11th October
Discussions/panels:
- Intersectionality between arts/homelessness with migration, criminal justice system, LGBTQIA+, veterans, mental health etc
- Arts and homelessness in the global south
- Policy co-creation using Legislative Theatre
Practice exchange/professional development:
- Dance
- Theatre/putting on a production including a excerpt from one-woman show, ‘Eng-er-land’ by Hannah Kumari
Plus – project ‘speed dating’!
Day Two – Tuesday 12th October
Discussions/panels:
- Co-creation
- Cultural spaces and homelessness
- Restorative practice from North America
- Open Space discussion led by the audience
Practice exchange/professional development:
- Drumming
- Music production
- Creative writing
Day Three – Wednesday 13th October
Discussions/panels:
- Women and homelessness
- Psycho-social support and trauma-informed care from Africa
- Cardboard Citizens Arts and Social Change afternoon
- Summit reflections and actions
Practice exchange/professional development:
- COVID projects
- Monitising your work as an artist
