Plymouth Frontline Network event-How to access Housing & related services in Plymouth
Plymouth Frontline Network event-How to access Housing & related services in Plymouth
Plymouth Frontline Network event-How to access Housing & related services in Plymouth
Friday 27th September
10 am – 1 pm
CAB, Cobourg House, 32 Mayflower Street, Plymouth, PL1 1Qx
This free event will explore how to access Housing and other related services in Plymouth. At the end of the session, there will also be a small talk from Amanda Sherriff from Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM).
MEAM (a coalition of Homeless Link, Clinks, Collective Voice and MIND) now has a South West Partnerships Manager in post full time and they are interested in discovering how MEAM can support the work in Plymouth. In particular they would like the opportunity to talk to frontline workers attending the Plymouth Frontline Network, to explore ideas and tools for creating system change and look at how to generate shared learning between Bristol’s Golden Key and the Plymouth Alliance.
Context to the event theme
We have had some interesting consultation type meetings around access to housing in Plymouth this year, following the start of the Plymouth Alliance (of services) in April 2019. One of the key things that came from these meetings, was realising how complicated the process of accessing housing services is for those who do not directly work within the sector.
Due to a number of changes that have taken place across Plymouth, it is hoped that this meeting will offer an opportunity for frontline workers to talk about how clients and other agencies could more easily access housing and related support services. The meeting will aim to improve awareness of what is available locally and how referral processes work.
The meeting is open to any frontline workers in Plymouth supporting people experiencing homelessness, including services referring to temporary accommodation and/or tenancy support in Plymouth.
To register, please contact Jane Cookson on pfn@pathdevon.org
