The Neurodiversity Podcast - Call for Participation

Thursday, May 14, 2026

Risk and Resilience are developing a new three-part documentary-style podcast exploring neurodiversity in frontline services and are looking for voices from housing and homelessness services to help shape it.

If you work in a frontline role, you’ll already know that neurodiversity is part of everyday practice. Whether it’s supporting people who are autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia or any other neurodivergence and who are often masking their needs, the reality is often complex, under-recognised, and not always well-supported by systems.

In this podcast, Risk and Resilience want to capture the real experiences of staff on the ground, including the challenges, the uncertainties, the things that work, and the practice that don’t.

Across the three episodes, they’ll be exploring:

  • What neurodiversity looks like in frontline housing and homelessness services
  • The hidden challenges — including masking, misinterpretation, and unmet need
  • Practical approaches, adaptations, and examples of good, trauma-informed and neuro-inclusive practice

Risk and Resilience are inviting frontline staff to contribute short, informal interviews via Zoom. We would love to hear from you if:

  • You’ve supported someone where neurodiversity was a key factor (whether diagnosed or not)
  • You’ve faced challenges in understanding or responding to someone’s needs
  • You’ve found practical ways to adapt your approach
  • You have reflections on what services get right — and what we still need to improve
  • Your own lived experience of neurodivergence

Before releasing the podcast, you will have an opportunity to review it and ensure you are happy with it. Nothing will be released without your consent.
