Advice for Migrant Organisations Amidst Far-Right Violence

The organisation HOPE not Hate has put together guidance for migrant organisations, in response to spate of coordinated far-right violence, which is targeted at Muslims, racialised communities, migrants and people seeking safety in the UK.
The guide aims to pull together some basic principles/ considerations for organisations and community groups to guide their thinking when making decisions about how to keep staff, volunteers and the people they are working with feeling safe and supported.
It covers the following four groups/scenarios:
- Information for organisations supporting people seeking asylum in Home Office hotels
- Information for charities and community groups who provide centre and service based work
- Information for charities and community groups who carry out community based work, including housing managed in the community
- Information for people fearful of or at risk of being directly targeted by far-right violence
We at St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity stand together in solidarity with our colleagues in the homelessness sector as well as the migrant and refugee sectors after the appalling scenes seen around the country this weekend.
