Homelessness Winter Transformation Fund

Homelessness, faith, community and voluntary sector organisations can now apply for transformation funding to provide single room and COVID-19 secure accommodation for people experiencing homelessness this winter.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has announced £3 million (£1m Capital and £2m Revenue) of transformation funding for the homelessness, faith, community and voluntary sector to provide the safest possible accommodation (individual rooms / self-contained). Homeless Link with be distributing the Fund in partnership with Housing Justice on the Ministry’s behalf.

The initial questionnaire required as part of the Capital steam is now open. This is a questionnaire to direct you whether you are eligible to apply to the Capital stream as part of the Homelessness Winter Transformation Fund 2021.

Please note, answering No to a question will not exclude you from the process, but it may mean that a conversation is required with you before progressing.

•       4th May – Initial (Capital only) questionnaire opens – this will be a short form with no more than 10 questions that will act as a checklist to help you and ourselves ascertain whether you are eligible for capital funding or not

•       24th May – Formal application window opens – there will be separate application forms for Revenue and Capital (only those who passed the initial questionnaire will be provided with access to the capital application form).

•       21st June – Deadline for Capital applications

•       5th July – Deadline for Revenue applications

•       30th July – Capital applicants notified of outcomes

•       6th September – Revenue applicants notified of outcomes

Capital – August & September

Revenue – October & November
