London PLUS: Early Release from Prison and Homelessness Webinar

Thursday, September 5, 2024

In response to the Government's plans to release people from prison across September and November 2024 under the new SDS40 Policy, Homeless Link is partnering with Clinks to deliver a webinar for organisations across London to hear more about the emerging situation and how to best support people who will be leaving prison early through this scheme. This webinar will take place at 12:30 - 14:00 on Thursday 5th September 2024.

There are growing concerns from the homelessness and wider voluntary sector on what this means for resettlement planning and the inevitable heightened risk of homelessness, particularly with the first tranche of releases scheduled for 10th September.

Join London PLUS to hear the latest updates regarding this policy, to hear from Clink's London Development Officer and Voluntary Sector Coordinator working at HMP Isis to share detail on what is happening from a prison perspective and Jeremy White, Head of National Partnerships at Homeless Link, who will lead the discussion on how homelessness services can work in partnership with statutory and other voluntary agencies in London to respond to this emerging situation.
