Supported Accommodation into Work
BHT Sussex presented on their innovative Accommodation for Work, short stay hostels (up to a year). They explored the value of work and how employment impacts benefits for residents of hostels and supported accommodation. They also shared best practice and resources to support staff in navigating challenges and obstacles. This included an introduction to the simple Get Ready for Work calculator and strategies to help residents work while managing benefits and rent payments.
