The Frontline Network Training Programme provides free, high-quality taught courses, skills development grants and subsidised accredited training to support frontline worker skills development.
At the Frontline Network, listening to frontline workers from across the four nations of the UK and being learning-led is at the heart of what we do. In response to feedback from our Annual Survey and Conference, we have developed a programme of training that we hope will support you in your professional development and equip you with skills and knowledge to deliver effective services to people experiencing homelessness.
The Frontline Network Training Programme offers three ways to help you access training:
Training Fund
If you are a frontline worker or team and have identified a training course or event that will help you in your current work with people experiencing homelessness, but your organisation is not able to fund it, the Training Fund may be able to help. Individuals can apply for up to £500 to cover the cost of training or learning events, and groups can apply for up to £1,500.
Outsourced Training
Our Outsourced Training offers a rolling schedule of high quality, taught courses across the year, available online for free. Training providers have included CPAG, Homeless Link, Praxis, Housing Rights Northern Ireland, and many more.
Accredited Training
The CIH Level 3 Certificate in Providing Homelessness Services, delivered by Homeless Link is a 20-week accredited training course (equivalent to an A-Level) that aims to provide frontline homelessness staff with a challenging and highly relevant grounding in all aspects of supporting people with lived experience of homelessness. The Frontline Network is subsidizing places for frontline workers to enroll on the course.
