How we work
The Frontline Network operates as a national organisation, working across all four nations of the UK.
We offer a national and local-level approach in our work; representing frontline workers, through a range of programmes that support, engage and advocate for the workforce.
At a National Level
A central pillar of our offer is providing free or funded trainings to frontline workers across the UK through our Outsourced Training and Training Fund offers.
As an extension of this work, we have been holding our Frontline Network Annual Conference since 2016, and this brings together experts, frontline workers, sector leaders and researchers for a day of learning, sharing of best practice, experiences and solidarity to support staff being able to effect change.
Since 2017 we have run our Annual Frontline Worker Survey - this enables staff across the UK to highlight their unique experiences and insights from their roles, outline what is changing in the sector, how systems and policies shape and impact outcomes for individuals, and provides an overview of how frontline workers are feeling about their roles.
Within all of our works we ensure that we capture the voices of frontline workers, ensuring a continuous feedback loop from staff with direct experience of the issues we seek to address is informing our work.
At a local level
Our priority is bringing together frontline workers. Since 2016 we have worked with a range of partner organisations across the UK to build the Frontline Network at a local level.
Our Local Network Partners play an integral role facilitating geographically placed and thematic networks that connect staff in their areas, These provide structured actives, free training and networking events across their areas and support staff amplifying concerns to decision makers to effect change.
Our partner networks are:

Our partners have helped deliver meet ups, learning lunches, trainings, conferences, reporting, census’s, newsletters, and share their skills and expertise.
