Carpet Help!

Carpet Help!

Topic created on, Thursday, September 7, 2017 , from Coventry
Hello All, When our clients finally obtain a tenancy, I am struggling to find a charity/organisation/business who can supply and fit carpets or alternative flooring. Any ideas gratefully received. :)

(Frontline Network Co-ordinator), from Coventry Hi, is it right to assume you're only looking in Coventry? Are you looking for grants to cover individuals' cost? - Grants Search under Resources looks useful: https://frontlinenetwork.org.uk/frontline-network/resources/grants-search/ Or are you looking for a charity who will fit flooring free of charge?
(Partnerships Officer), from London Hi Claire, It might be worth having a look at Glasspool or the Buttle Trust. In the resources section of our website, there is also a Grants Search Finder that you could use. This will then provide you with a list of funders in your area who you could apply to for support with this. As this is an issue that you come across a lot, another option could be to look at a local business that you could approach for support with this, as some carpet firms have flooring they don't use and this would fit with their Corporate Social Responsibility. There is also an in initiative in Doncaster that you could talk to who may have other links called Carpet Recycling UKhttp://www.carpetrecyclinguk.com/news65.php I was able to secure some flooring this way previously. Lastly, we have a Partner organisation in Coventry that you could contact- the Citizens Advice. I hope this helps.
