Training and Employing People with Lived Experience - London
The Enterprise Development Programme is a five-year £40m programme aimed at providing support for charities and social enterprises in England, helping them transition to new enterprise models, or grow existing ones. The programme is funded by Access – The Foundation for Social Investment and managed by a coalition of partners.
As the lead partner for the homelessness sector, Homeless Link are working to inspire organisations to become more financially resilient. We offer support to those wanting to develop or grow their enterprising activity, providing guidance on the grant funding available and training programmes offered.
What is the event about?
When homeless organisations develop a social enterprise, this brings with it the chance to generate training and employment opportunities for the people they support.
This event will explore how this can be achieved successfully and the challenges charities and social enterprises may face when moving in this direction. We will consider issues around how to balance being a support provider with managing a business, and where the focus should lie between social impact and sustainability.
