About this event
This course aims to identify good working practices when working with people who have experienced domestic abuse and may benefit from high levels of support.
Suitable for:
This is an introductory session aimed at Local Authority Housing Options staff including housing officers, homelessness officers and homeless prevention staff who are required to give advice on housing options enquiries. It is also suitable for Voluntary Agency Advisers engaged in delivering housing/homelessness advice and Public authorities who have a duty to refer under homelessness legislation.
Contains:
- An overview of complex needs in the context of domestic abuse.
- Identifying good working practices.
- Appropriate responses, including joint working.
