Delivering for Women: Women's Homelessness Conference 2021
Delivering for Women: Women's Homelessness Conference 2021
Delivering for Women: Women's Homelessness Conference 2021
Homeless Link are bringing together the homelessness and women's sectors to explore what works, why and how for women experiencing homelessness.
About the event
This one day conference will look at how we can do the best for women experiencing homelessness in a gender-, culture-, and trauma-informed way, examining how services at all levels can be more inclusive to women.
The conference aims to bring together homelessness and specialist women’s sector charities, as well as commissioners, who have the power to change outcomes for women experiencing homelessness.
We will hear from women with lived experience about what has worked for them, highlight best practice for creating a gender-informed service and look at how to put it into practice, with sessions on funding and examples of services leading the way.
The day will offer sessions for all levels, from mixed-gender services looking to learn more about improving their offering for women to experienced women's service providers looking to stay up to date with best practice.
Programme to follow shortly...
This event is for
People working and volunteering in women's and homelessness sector including:
- Commissioners
- Chief Executives and senior managers
- Heads of service
- Technical staff
- Frontline staff
Virtual but interactive
This one-day conference will consist of online presentations, discussions and webinars, with polls, chat box and Q&A sessions to ensure you can get involved.
We are not expecting any attendees to join all sessions and instead you will be able to curate your own conference programme, mixing and matching the sessions that most interest you. Recordings will also be available to attendees once sessions have finished, so if you missed a session you were particularly excited about you will still have a chance to watch it.
To note:
- Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any requirements that will make this event more accessible to you (e.g. subtitled recordings of the sessions). Though we will not have a solution to all requirements, we will always do what we can to try and make these events as accessible as possible. Contact us at events@homelesslink.org.uk.
- This conference will have speakers providing the voices of those with lived experience of homelessness. We leave it up to the individual to choose whether they wish to share whether this applies to them when presenting.
