About this Event

You are warmly invited to join us for the next London Day Centre Workers Community of Practice.

At this CoP we will look at examples of the positive health interventions for rough sleepers being offered across the city. We will also explore ways in which we can increase provision and address any gaps.

Currently we have asked three services to give brief presentations about their work - we will confirm the details of who nearer to the event. We will also have lots of time for networking and group discussion.

If you have an example of health related good practice, some innovative work, a particular health specialism or success story that you would like to share please get in touch to discuss how we might make this happen on the day.

This Community of Practice aims to bring those in comparative roles from across London’s day centres, to share experiences, learn from each other and identify solutions. It will be a space to network, get to know the faces behind the emails and to develop strategies for better partnership working across the sector.

The event is also open to other front line workers who may find this useful. We do also run events for outreach workers and for those who work in supported accommodation.

The purpose of a Community of Practice is to:

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and social learning between practitioners

• Provide a safe venue for people to listen, reflect and receive feedback

• Allow people to hear about new evidence learning and practice

• Try out and discuss changes that encourage innovation

• Harness the collective expertise to drive real, actionable solutions

• Improve networking across the sector and with other related sectors

We welcome people with lived experience of homelessness who are keen to support services with their practice development.

There is no charge to attend this event, but places are limited so please RSVP as soon as possible.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided, if you have any dietary requirements please state these at the time of booking.

Cathedral View is a fully accessible venue.

If you are part of a large team please consider limiting the number of tickets you book to ensure that spaces are available to workers from across London, I will leave this to your discretion.

Looking forward to meeting you
