Youth Homeless North East annual Homeless survey

Youth Homeless North East annual Homeless survey

Friday, August 9, 2019

Youth Homeless North East is conducting its 8th annual Homeless Survey and asking that everyone related takes part. The survey aims to gather data to provide evidence on the extent and causes of youth homelessness, the nuances and emerging trends and any gaps in provision. The survey report will seek to set the current social, political and economic context and to understand the impact upon youth homelessness in the region.

As usual there are two surveys, one for local authorities and one for voluntary and community sector partners, housing associations and ALMO’s. Findings from the research will be analysed and a report covering trends, gaps and recommendations will be produced by Northumbria University.

The report will be presented at a seminar in the autumn. Further details will be circulated nearer the time. The report will also be widely circulated and available to download on the YHNE website.

As with previous years to ensure comparative data is produced, the survey requests data for the month of February and across the previous year. To complete the survey please click on the appropriate link below. The links will take you to the survey and you will be directed through the process.

On completion of the survey please remember to press submit to save your completed survey and remember not to press the submit button until you have completed the survey. To ensure consistency of data, please can you ensure a single respondent for data coming from your local authority.

Please find below links for the surveys and pdfs so that you can review the questions in advance of completing the surveys. The surveys have a ‘finish later’ option too.
