To further expand the asset based approach and personal transitions service (PTS) into the county they live in.
To further expand the asset based approach and personal transitions service (PTS) into the county they live in. They would do this by recruiting and training more volunteers so they can open up the PTS offer externally.
They would engage with other community groups to support the work they do with homeless people and offer guidance, support and training.
They would work to engage people as system changers and support sustained change to the sector and community buy-in through training and supporting volunteers to work in a strength based way with people experiencing difficult times such as homelessness, mental health and relationship problems.
They would engage with other voluntary frontline services to share training skills, best practice and open their offer to a wider span of people from their current 16 - 25 year cohort.
They would lead on co-ordination of donated goods and opportunities for homeless people and storage of items.
They would build capacity to work with all homeless people across Herefordshire through volunteers and support people and projects who are assisting homeless people through their own means, such as Hereford Homeless Winter Support.
They would need financial support for training and management of volunteers along with volunteer’s expenses and H&S devices to enable them to be safe lone working.
They would provide training and support to volunteers and to other projects that are not yet able to do so for themselves.
They would provide a space for donated items and liaise with other organisations what was available.
They would further increase the social media presence for organisations and increase donations of goods and services, most of these organisations do not have anywhere to store items so they would work with local people and businesses to provide this.
They would also increase the engagement of local people and businesses to enable the brokering of opportunities for people when they are ready to engage in their life opportunities again.
PTS and Asset coaching is already showing some great outcomes across the country and within their organisation in Herefordshire. They would like to develop the project further to be more inclusive of an age range and people who are homeless not just vulnerably housed.
