Calls from the Frontline to end Homelessness in Scotland

Tuesday 17 April 2018

9.30am for refreshments, 10am to 12.30pm for event

Out of the Blue Drill Hall, 36 Dalmeny Street, Edinburgh EH6 8RG

Scottish Government plans to tackle homelessness with a new short-life action group, a £50m fund over 5 years, plus an extra £20m for alcohol and drug services.

The Action Group is making recommendations to Scottish Ministers and a final report is due in May/June 2018. The Action Group is collaborating widely to reach the right recommendations. So far, this has included 3 large events with multi-agency partners, a series of smaller roundtable discussions on specific themes, and collaboration with over 400 people with lived experience of homelessness.

Frontline workers have a unique insight into what works and what doesn't. And will be at the very heart of creating change in Scotland over the next 5 years.

The Action Group, in collaboration with Cyrenians and St Martins Frontline Network, are hosting this half-day event to learn from you what's most important, share good practice, and build solutions through the expertise of frontline workers.
