Wednesday 18 April 2018

3pm to 5pm (refreshments provided)

One Church, Gloucester Place, Brighton BN1 4AA

Greg Headley from The Passage writes.....

Working with rough sleepers, the homeless, and the insecurely housed in Brighton and Hove can seem like an uphill battle. You deliver the best service you can with limited resources and you give yourself, your passion, compassion, energy and creativity. Without your commitment to the people we support we would not be achieving what we are.

This event is to explore together what is happening on the frontline, share good practice and explore what you think we should be doing as a city.

The questions we will be asking:

  • What is working? (Share your achievements, what innovations have you put into practice and what solutions have you found both for individuals and for working with groups)
  • What are the barriers in place, for us as Frontline workers, to getting the results we are aiming for?
  • What are the gaps that you can see in our city wide approach to ending rough sleeping and homelessness?

The learning and recommendations from this event will be developed into a short report to be made available to those who may find it useful for future service development and planning. Everything will be anonymised.

We all came into this profession to create positive change both for individuals and for our communities. This is a chance to have your voice heard and come back to what your vision started out as. This is your opportunity to share your skills and experience and take those ideas, qualms and complaints out of the staff room and develop them into solutions and innovations that are achievable and transformative - we need you!

We are looking for each team in the city to send at least one representative (no limit on numbers) to bring their own knowledge and experience, and to ideally bring the voice of their team.

Please RSVP by signing up to our Eventbrite and do share with your colleagues.

The Frontline Workers Network is a great opportunity for people to meet those working in other teams and build better collaborative relationships which in turn get better results for the people we support.
