Thursday 12 October 2017

10am to 1pm (registration from 9.15am and lunch from 1pm)

Apex, Charter Square, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3FD

Housing impacts our health, quality of life, employment and education. A home should be a sanctuary where people feel safe and secure. But for many, this is not the case. The reasons for homelessness are varied and complex. If we are to succeed in reducing homelessness, then as agencies we will need to work even more closely than we have ever done before. New statutory homelessness duties, will have a huge impact on those who are threatened with, or who are, homeless. It will also give new duties to agencies to report homelessness.

An event for voluntary and public sector partners.

This free morning conference will encourage a collaborative approach to preventing homelessness across Suffolk. It will also raise awareness of the new statutory duties for organisations to report homelessness.

Who should attend?

Organisations with a passion for preventing homelessness and providing support to those who need assistance. All public sector partners should be aware that they have a duty to report homelessness so come along to find out more.
