NHAS

10am-1pm

Chamber of Commerce, Manchester City Centre

Join us at our first free event of 2019 aimed at frontline staff working in health and social care, to discuss how the system is set up to help children and families who are in housing need and explore how authorities can work together to best meet these needs.

We will be joined by representatives from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, the NHS and Homeless Link to deliver an interactive session for attendees.

Jane Cook, housing and health advisor for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government will present a briefing on ‘Health and Homelessness within the Rough Sleepers Initiative’.

Maxine Jenkins, specialist health visitor - homeless families, will deliver a workshop entitled ‘Homeless? Asking and understanding.’

Michaela Des Forges, policy manager for Homeless Link, will deliver a workshop looking at the impact of homelessness on children, young people and families and barriers to accessing health and support.
