What issues are now arising in commissioning for Psychologically Informed Environments?

In recent years the PIE approach has acquired considerable momentum and is being widely taken up by providers across the homelessness sector in the UK.

Commissioners have a central role in developing PIEs, in devising contracts, monitoring progress. Beyond this, they have a key role in identifying and tackling systemic hurdles for service provision, to encourage what we have sometimes called ‘a PIE of pathways’.

This Pan-London workshop with Robin Johnson, the founder of the PIE concepts and editor of the PIElink community of practice website, will be the first to focus specifically on the role of commissioners and commissioning for PIEs.

There will be enough new material – especially on the progress of the PIEs self-assessment framework, the Pizazz – to justify funding this from your training budgets.

But the focus of the event will be as much on sharing and learning on the dilemmas and difficulties in commissioning for PIEs. This discussion will itself contribute to the on-going evolution of the PIE approach.
